A word from our Pastor
Grace to you and peace from God Our
Father and the Lord Jesus Christ - Ephesians 1:2
The opening words of Psalm 27 provide encouragement for daily
living: The Lord is my light and my salvation whom should I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life - of whom should
I be afraid? The Psalmist is expressing complete confidence in the Lord God, his source of confidence and strength. We may
join the Psalmist to express a positive outlook, even in difficult times. God is great and God is good. We may trust Him
completely and watch His goodness and mercy unfold before our eyes!
Buckets of Hope for Haiti provides another opportunity for us to share in a hands-on project to help people in need. Read
the article on the front page of this VISION. Help us gather the food items to fill the buckets. Then join us in the
Fellowship Hall on Sunday, March 14, at 4:00 PM and we will pack the buckets for shipment to Haiti. And glory will come to
God because His people reflect His love to the Haitians!
Currently I am presenting a series of messages based on parables of the kingdom of heaven from Matthew's gospel. We have
considered the parables of the sower and the seed in chapter 13. Now we will consider the parable of the unforgiving slave
(18:21-35) on March 7 and of the vineyard workers (20:1-16) on March 14. Invite your family and friends and neighbors to
join us for the Worship Celebration each Sunday morning at 10:30. We will praise the Lord and pray and read the scriptures
and seek wisdom for living for His glory and the building of His kingdom.
In His Service,
Howard Goodwin
